Augmented Reality on books

While in STEDUS concept we concentrate to bring augmented reality into many objects, it is not so suitable to bring it to books, mainly due to number of pages in books and number of different books. While augmented reality as technology works nicely with books, the number of markers needed and other possible interaction needs would bring usage difficulties. That said, STEDUS-concept can of course also be used with books too, but with some limitations - mainly to number of markers in one book or some interaction possibilities. If you would have such need, we can discuss it case by case.

For this kind of purpose SenseTrix has developed another system, based on STAR (SenseTrix Augmented Reality) -concept. With this system, you can use markers and thus similar augmented content anywhere you like - books, labels, posters, tables.. not only educational content but all kind of content and needs.

It is in many ways similar to applications offered through STEDUS (as technologically they are very close to same), but yet so different that it is different product, and as such most likely will not be tied as that to STEDUS -services. However in some ways it will become also part of STEDUS, but this is still to be defined later (will clear out during 2013 most likely).
